The Problem
1. Wars are always fought over wealth.
2. Terrorism will exist as long as foreign entities including nations and corporations impose their unwelcome presence on other cultures and nations, especially by exploiting their natural and human resources in a way that deprives people of their life, liberty and persuit of happiness.
3. There is no such thing as fighting an effective war against terrorism. Temporarily destroying the groups that support terrorism does not strike at the root cause of the people's grievances, which is spawned by a sense of extreme injustice. Collateral damage incurred by trying to win wars against terrorism is certain to incite more terrorism.
4. Immediately placating a terrorist group's grievance does not immediately alleviate the threat. Historical wounds take time to heal.
5. Extreme disparity of wealth harbors terrorism. When poverty is rampant, terrorism flourishes. People who are uncared-for will cling to anything that gives them hope, even violence as a way of life.
6. Europe and the United States have consistently engaged in exploitation and empire-building for the last several hundred years.
7. The World is currently seeing in increase in economic disparity, not a decrease.
8. The most powerful nations are aggressivly pursuing policies that will increase, not lessen the threat of terrorism, including initiating bloody pre-emptive wars.
9. The World will never be free of the potential for oppression.
The Solution is Simple
1. Individuals must say "no" when called to fight offensive wars on foreign soil. War is never the answer.
2. Nations with governments that have run amok must oust their leaders through democratic or revolutionary means. Revolution does not mean violence. It simply means refusing and resisting subjugation by dictatorial systems. Unfortunately people who refuse and resist are sometimes treated with violence by the system, but the system relies on obedience of the masses. Power is not taken away from the people unless they surrender it willingly.
3. Individuals should work to build strong, tolerant, open communities that stress cooperation and not paranoia as their driving force. Strong communities discourage the environment in which violent social discord breeds.
4. Nations that have an abundance can offer a helping hand to other countries, but not false gifts that result in exploiting their people.
5. People eventually do not fight against you when they are free of a sense that you are a threat to their peaceful concord. This may take time. Patience and diplomacy are the virtues of a nation that seeks to make peace.
6. The fight for freedom from oppression must remain ongoing, through times of feast and famine.
No go out and DO IT.
